1911 STOCK TAPS These Brownells high speed steel taps are for tapping/ chasing pre-existing threads in 1911 frames. The 0.236”-60 TPI tap is for tapping frames so that bushings can thread into the frame. The 0.150”-50 TPI tap is for tapping the actual bushings for the grip screws. Recommended tap drill sizes: 0.150”-50 TPI = #30 drill (0.1285”) 0.236”-60 TPI = 7/32” drill (0.2188”)
